Breaking down aircraft data silos
A common problem faced by equipment OEMs, such as engine, APU, and other parts suppliers, is the lack of ready access to comprehensive full series aircraft data to feed their health monitoring and maintenance programs. Too often, “snapshot” data collected via ACARS is all that is available. Teledyne Data Delivery Solution (DDS) solves this problem by providing access to thousands of airline‑owned data points collected every minute by onboard wireless Quick Access Recorders (QAR), such as Teledyne’s GroundLink Comm+, and helps promote OEM efficiencies.
Teledyne DDS quickly establishes automatic flows of airline-owned full series data directly from the aircraft into the OEMs’ data platforms for advanced analytics.
Advanced data filtering
Airlines retain full control over the distribution of their data and can select what data parameters lists they agree to share, by tail number, by data consumer, by data frame file format, etc.
Fully managed cloud service
Teledyne DDS is a fully managed cloud service that includes installation, parameter configuration, and automated distribution of "agreed-to-share" airline data to the data consumer’s cloud platform.
Secure Data Transmission
Secure data transfer protocols using IPSec VPNs and ATA Spec 42 compliant digital certificates are used to preserve the authenticity, confidentiality, and integrity of the data transmitted between Teledyne's DDS cloud and the data consumer’s cloud platform.
